Homemade Gift Ideas

Throughout the year, we will be sharing not only ideas, but full instructions, templates and photos for homemade gifts. Some of these gifts may have a Catholic theme, such as the Playground’s Our Lady of Guadalupe or Blessed Mother stationery, while other gifts, such as our Lego storage container are just fun to make and give. And other gifts, such as our favorite mix-in-a-jar gifts, make great Christmas gifts for teachers or neighbors or maybe even your pastor!

Though these mix-in-a-jar gifts could be given throughout the year, we’ve dressed the jars up to use as Christmas gifts. Children, even younger ones can help assemble these mixes if you use a funnel to pour ingredients in the jar. If you don’t have a funnel handy, a homemade paper funnel works just as well. Complete the jars by dressing them up with Christmas ribbon and fabric and maybe even an ornament or other decorative item.
