How to dress your Lego minifigures as Biblical characters!

September 8, 2015Lego, September Standard

One of the biggest challenges to creating a Biblical Lego scene is undoubtedly the minifigures. While super important to the scene, Lego minifigures sometimes don’t always fit in with their authentic ancient Israeli background!

Catholic Playground’s solution? Printable Israelite clothing!
How to make Bible minifigures

Now you can dress your Lego minifigures to look like prophets, scribes, apostles, or any Bible character.

Simply click the image below to print the template, cut carefully around the outside, then use a hole punch to make a head hole.

Check out our most recent Lego scene, Moses and the Parting of the Red Sea, to see the new Israelite garments in action!

Have you tried these outfits on your minifigures? Tell us about it in the comments below or submit your pictures to be featured on the Catholic Playground!

My hole punch doesn’t reach that far into the paper – will have to get creative folding or just make the hole with something else 🙂

    Hi Sue!
We’re so glad to hear you are trying out this project! If you cut out all the garments first before punching holes, a standard hole punch should work with no problem. Please visit again and let us know how the finished product turned out!!

Which “Raw” Lego Characters did you purchase to modify and are they only available in a Lego Set? Please help as my church is creating a Lego Series of Bible Stories. Thx.

    Hi Jay!
We mixed and matched a lot of Lego minifigures for this project. We have some Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fans at our house 🙂 so some of the minifigs are from those sets like the Barrel Escape set
    and Council of Elrond set
. If you use the printable clothing from this post, the clothing that the minifigures come with doesn’t matter so much…pretty much only the faces and hair show. We pretty much focused on using flesh colored minifigures (versus the original yellow colored minifigures).

Hope this helps! Good luck with your Lego Bible Stories!

    In Christ’s love,
    Ann from the Catholic Playground
