Saint Joseph of Cupertino coloring page: September 18th

September 19, 2013Coloring, Saints Coloring, September Standard

Beginning with his childhood, Joseph faced many obstacles in his life. His mother treated him very cruelly. As a result, Joseph developed a bad temper and had a tendency to be absent-minded. He often wandered around aimlessly, with his mouth hanging open. As he grew older, he tried to enter several religious orders, but each order rejected him. Anxious to get Joseph out of the home, his mother sent him to the Franciscan monastery, where he worked as a servant, taking cares of the horses. As time passed, Joseph became a gentler person, and took great care in his work. Though studying was difficult for him, he eventually prepared to become a priest in the order. Joseph’s priesthood was filled with many miracles. He often levitated during mass and went into ecstasy. Because his holiness attracted many people, he often lived a hidden life. However, he treasured the time alone with God and was especially devoted to Mary. St. Joseph is the patron saint of aviators and flying.
