Saint Cecilia coloring page: November 22nd

November 22, 2013Coloring, November, Saints Coloring Standard

Cecilia was a devout, young girl who dedicated her life to God. Though she was from a wealthy family and promised in marriage to a man, she chose to spend her time in prayer and fasting. She was responsible for both her husband’s and his brother’s baptisms. After their deaths, she spent her days spreading Christianity and influencing the conversions of hundreds of people. After Cecilia was arrested for her faith, it was determined that she would be put to death. After her death, Pope Urban and several deacons buried her. It is said that Cecilia was the first incorrupt saint. Today, she is the patroness of music, as legend tells us she heard music from heaven on her wedding day. She is often pictured with an organ or other instrument.
