Saint Rita of Cascia coloring page: May 22nd

June 10, 2013Coloring, May, Saints Coloring Standard

From an early age, Rita felt called to become a nun. Her parents, however, wanted Rita to marry. At only 12 years old, Rita was married to a man who did not share her strong faith. Throughout her marriage, she struggled to remain strong and pray for her husband and two sons. After 18 years, her husband died. Not long after, Rita also lost both of her sons. Rita sought to join a convent and was accepted in 1413. She is most known for receiving the stigmata, the wounds of Christ.
